As a Graduate Quantitative Researcher at Optiver, you will be part of a dynamic research team that develops and refines algorithmic trading strategies. Your expertise in statistics and analytical skills will be essential in constructing complex models to predict market movements.

Working alongside mathematicians, scientists, and technologists, you will leverage vast data sets to identify trading opportunities and develop innovative solutions that shape the future of electronic trading.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze high-frequency trading strategies and market microstructure.
  • Build stochastic models to determine the fair value of financial derivatives and ensure the efficiency and accuracy of pricing engines and libraries.
  • Collaborate with the research team to identify trading opportunities and develop trading strategies that drive business growth.
  • Participate in Optiver's comprehensive Global Academy to gain knowledge and skills in trading theory and technology.

Who You Are
  • A PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related STEM field with outstanding academic achievements.
  • Expected graduation date by mid-2025 and availability to commence full-time employment upon graduation.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, probability, and statistics, with excellent research, analytical, and modeling skills.
  • Independent research experience and proficiency in any programming language.
