Job Description

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Patient Mammography/Breast Ultrasound Imaging (90%):

You will screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure. You will explain and prepare patients for Mammography/Ultrasound imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients correctly.

  • You will perform routine and advanced Mammography/Ultrasound imaging procedures on designated portions of the breasts for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, with minimal supervision.
  • You will adjust Mammography/Ultrasound scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • You will maintain positive attitudes and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
  • You will follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers.
  • You will accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • You will maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers.
  • You will maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • You will ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Mammography Department Support (5%):

You will assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades. You will monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary. You will assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.
