About the Role

Strykermeded is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Kalamazoo, MI. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality medical devices that improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.
  • Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
  • Repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to work extended workweeks, including weekends.
  • Ability to clearly follow tasks to build product and use detailed guidelines to aid in decision making.
  • Capability to meet production goals with a desire to exceed them.
  • Reliable and dependable, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.

Physical/Safety Requirements

  • Uses a variety of tools, including manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices.
  • Handles various materials, including durcot fabric, nylon fabric, Velcro, zippers, product components comprised of rubber, metals, and coated products.
  • Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis, and may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
  • Job demands include prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling as appropriate.
