We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Primrose School of Plainfield. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young students and helping them develop a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Management: Supervise and manage daily functions for a class of children, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
- Assessment and Planning: Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and plan with the Director to implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
- Parent Communication: Plan with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations, providing parents with an overview of the material taught in class.
- Classroom Environment: Ensure that all class bulletin boards are current and maintain a professional and attractive classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children.
- Qualifications: IL State-certified teaching certificate, a philosophy that puts children first, and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Experience: Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility is a plus.
- Skills: Pleasant/friendly demeanor, outgoing personality, highly professional and dependable, excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure.
