Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly member service, answering inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and efficient manner.
- Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and posting loan payments, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to Credit Union policies.
- Maintain control of assigned cash reserves and negotiable items, ensuring security and balancing at all times.
- Provide general information and instruction to members regarding Credit Union products, services, and policies, cross-selling and promoting products as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Some cash handling experience is required, with a minimum of six months experience as a teller or one-year experience in a financial institution.
- Excellent member service skills, with the ability to provide high levels of thoroughness and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of financial products and services, with the ability to discuss features and benefits with members.
- Strong organization, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to speak fluently in Spanish and English, with a plus for bilingual pay incentives.
