RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Evaluate and integrate patient history, physical examination findings, and diagnostic test results to prepare patients for surgical procedures.
2. Provide telephonic consultations and follow-up communications; assess patient needs and offer recommendations or referrals as necessary.
3. Facilitate referrals to physicians or specialists when required.
4. Oversee the evaluation and follow-up of patients seen in the outpatient clinic.
5. Review preoperative laboratory results, EKGs, and imaging studies; address any significant abnormalities promptly and communicate with the attending surgeon as needed.
6. Issue preoperative orders based on patient requirements and departmental protocols.
7. Inform the attending surgeon of any concerns regarding patients that may affect scheduled procedures.
8. Maintain expertise in the field by participating in relevant educational opportunities.
9. Adhere to departmental regulations applicable to physician assistants.
10. Comply with hospital policies regarding medical records, emergency protocols, and professional standards.
11. Mentor and train students as requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.


PAY RANGE:
$95,000.00 - $150,000.00
The stated salary range reflects a good faith estimate of potential base pay for successful candidates. It may be subject to change. Compensation is influenced by factors such as experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contractual agreements.
