Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Pharmacy Technician - Centralized Triage, you will play a critical role in processing prescription refills and medication prior authorizations following designated protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescription refills and medication prior authorizations under the direction of the provider and RN
  • Work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely processing of medications
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of medication processing
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • Must obtain a Pharmacy Technician certification by a national certification test
  • Experience with an EMR; EPIC preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document legibly
  • Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician with CPhT certification highly preferred
  • Active student in an accredited school of Pharmacy or have maintained active Pharmacy Technician licensure with IL since Jan 2008
