This position requires the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
An effective Non-Destructive Testing Technician (NDT) is detail-oriented, capable of both independent and team-based work, and eager to learn about ATI's products, processes, and quality benchmarks.
This position operates on a third shift schedule from 11 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Friday. Initial training will occur during the first shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate and set up non-destructive testing apparatus.
- Conduct inspections on a variety of materials and components to identify surface and near-surface defects using NDT inspection techniques.
- Interpret and analyze testing outcomes, developing appropriate examination methods while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Create comprehensive and precise inspection reports, documenting findings from tests.
- Collaborate closely with the quality assurance team and fellow NDT technicians to resolve any identified issues or defects.
- Comply with all safety regulations, ensuring that testing is performed in a secure and compliant manner.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing NDT processes and methodologies within the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Level II certification in Non-Destructive Testing, specifically in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and/or Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT).

Essential Skills
- Familiarity with additional NDT methods and techniques.
- Technical expertise in NDT procedures and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
