Night Shift Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Team Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and supervision of routine, planned, and emergency maintenance repair activities on the night shift. This role involves performance review and skill development for night shift maintenance team members.
This is a third-shift role, Monday through Friday, from 10 PM to 6 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Planning and Assignment: Plan and assign work for all maintenance members using the MP2 CMMS.
- Performance Reviews and Development: Prepare and deliver night shift team member performance reviews and create development plans.
- Team Development: Promote and facilitate the personal development of team members by identifying training needs and working with site leadership to fund and schedule training.
- Audit and Compliance: Audit members to ensure that Safe Work Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and training instructions are being followed.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead efforts to identify root cause and preventative actions for safety and quality-related issues.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with operations team managers and area managers to present and maintain consistent expectations on the night shift.
- Support and Improvement: Support all 5-S, housekeeping, ELS projects, and recycling programs.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with other functional areas to resolve process and training-related problems and help develop improved manufacturing processes.
- Restore Flow Efforts: Assign responsibilities and ensure teamwork is used to maximize safety and efficiency when restoring flow to production equipment.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of prior experience in maintenance management or supervision.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Safety and Compliance: Must be able to adhere to and enforce adherence to all safety practices, policies, and procedures.
- Problem-Solving and Detail-Oriented: Problem-solving capability and detail-oriented.
- Flexibility and Dependability: Must have demonstrated a record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of maintenance supervision and/or management.
- Leadership and Improvement: Track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Project Management and Time Management: Project Management and Time Management skills.
- Lean Manufacturing: Track record of implementing Lean manufacturing processes.
