Faculty Group Practice Sleep Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Faculty Group Practice Sleep Technologist, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of Polysomnography for both clinical and research patients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Polysomnographic procedures, including Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration, etc.
- Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events.
- Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention.
- Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events, and generate accurate reports.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
- NYS OP License and current registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist, OR, Registered Respiratory Therapist, OR Respiratory Therapy Technician competent to perform Polysomnographic Technology services.
- 2 years' experience in Polysomnography or a related field.
