Role Expectations

As a Medical Collections Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to reach out to clients with overdue medical accounts and assist them in finding suitable resolutions. Successful candidates in this role thrive on engaging with various individuals throughout the day, showcasing exceptional listening skills and empathy while negotiating payment arrangements that satisfy both parties.

Compensation Structure

Initial Compensation: You will commence with an hourly wage of $20 during a virtual training program facilitated by seasoned professionals with extensive experience. This training will cover essential topics such as technology, applicable laws and standards, and negotiation techniques.

Post-Training Compensation: Following the training period, you will transition to a reduced hourly wage accompanied by performance-based bonuses. Collectors are expected to meet specific quality and collection targets, at which point you will collaborate with your manager to establish a lower hourly rate (e.g., $17) that allows for bonus earnings based on performance. This structure is designed to enhance your earning potential while providing a safety net.

Future Earnings Potential: Once you have demonstrated proficiency in your role, you may opt for a straight commission structure. This option enables the company to reward you maximally for your performance and collected fees, with top collectors earning near six figures and NO CAP on their income.

Work Environment and Benefits
  • Work from home or in our designated office.
  • Full-time schedule from Monday to Friday (8AM-5PM CST / 9AM-6PM ET). If you choose the commission plan, your schedule will adjust to include two evenings per week (8AM-7PM CST/9AM-8PM ET) in exchange for every other Friday off. Evening and weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service with a proven track record of resolving challenging situations is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills suitable for conflict resolution are required.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting is crucial, along with consistent attendance during scheduled hours. No absences are permitted during training.
  • Remote employees must have a private workspace and reliable internet that meets specified standards.
