Responsibilities:
  • Takes detailed medical histories and performs thorough exams, ordering diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Orders lab work, draws blood, and conducts some lab tests, including throat cultures and microscopic exams.
  • Prescribes treatment and medication following established protocols and consulting with supervising physicians.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records, reviewing lab results and patient outcomes regularly.
  • Participates in case conferences, continuing education programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Fully adheres to OSHA infection control standards, ensuring safe and successful performance meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • NCCPA Certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current registration to practice in New York State.
