Class A Shuttle Driver Position

Job Summary:

The Shuttle Driver is a critical role within our transportation team, responsible for safely transporting empty trailers to PFG warehouse locations and delivering full trailers with various food products to domicile/shuttle yard locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre/post trip safety checks, inspecting tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
  • Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule, ensuring all required route paperwork is with the tractor trailer load.
  • Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers, completing necessary paperwork.
  • Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • 12 months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years commercial driving experience.
  • Foodservice distribution industry experience.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e. PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e. POD).
