Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Metal Cutter/Saw Operator to join our team at Primus Metals Inc. in Lakewood, CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting materials according to specifications from prints to support production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate cutting machinery and equipment to cut materials as per job requirements.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or diagrams to determine cutting specification.
  • Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before and after cutting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Participate in physical inventory cycle and year-end counts.
  • Responsible for cutting metal in an efficient manner to maximize production.
  • Perform other shipping/receiving warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Metal Cutter/Saw Operator.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of cutting machinery and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs.) or hold heavy pieces of metal in place while cutting and supporting welding.
  • Stamina: Ability to work long hours on their feet, often in hot and/or loud conditions.
  • Ability to climb and work from a ladder.
  • Good Vision: Ability to keep a steady eye on the cut as it takes form requires color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Familiarity with different types of cutting tools and equipment.
