City of Hope is a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our team and contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases.

About the Position

We are looking for a talented individual to develop and carry out stem cell studies involving targeted delivery of oncolytic virus to invasive cancers. This is a translational research lab, involved with FDA IND-enabling and first-in-human clinical studies, as well as a biotechnology partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate stem cell delivery of oncolytic viro-immunotherapy to target glioma, breast cancer, and ovarian cancer in animal models.
  • Independently design and manage projects, analyze data, prepare manuscripts for publication, submit grants, and present at national scientific conferences.

Qualifications

  • A doctorate degree and/or relevant background in immunology, neuroscience, biology, or pharmacology. Immunology expertise will take priority.
  • Training in flow cytometry, PCR, immunohistological techniques, ELISpot, PCR, viral vectors, and cell transduction.
  • Experience with small animal surgeries, necropsy, tissue harvest and cryosectioning.
  • Authorship in peer-reviewed publications required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A commitment of at least 2-3 years.
