About the Role:

The City of Stockbridge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on our fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose issues with gasoline, diesel, and mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Perform routine part replacement and repairs, as well as major repairs as needed
  • Overhaul, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery, including backhoes, mini excavators, automobiles, dump trucks, pumps, generators, and air compressors
  • Work independently to carry out assignments and make decisions on maintenance and repairs

Requirements:

  • ASE certification in a relevant area
  • Experience in fleet maintenance and repair
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
