Admissions Specialist: Augusta

Job Overview
Position Summary
This role is integral to the admissions operations of the institution. The individual in this position will guide prospective students through the enrollment journey, from the initial application stage to final enrollment. Enrollment specialists must be engaging and adept at interpreting and applying relevant policies to diverse student circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interacting with prospective students and applicants through various channels including in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and text messages. Making independent admission decisions based on academic criteria.
- Supporting applicants throughout the admissions journey by utilizing systems for managing student information, providing fundamental financial aid guidance, conducting campus tours, assessing transcripts for admission prerequisites, coordinating placement testing, and making admission decisions.
- Organizing orientation sessions and registration meetings with academic advisors.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.
*Candidates must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening prior to commencing employment.

Qualifications
Educational Background
Required: Associate degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
Professional Experience
Required: At least one year of experience in customer service.
Preferred: Experience in college admissions.
Required Skills
Essential: Strong customer service orientation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective phone communication, and strong organizational abilities.
Preferred: Familiarity with student information systems.
