Position Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily functions of the organization. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, and the attainment of organizational objectives. The individual will lead initiatives in Production, Continuous Improvement, and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and enhance process definitions focused on operational improvements and cost savings to boost profitability and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Monitor, execute, and uphold key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and enhance operations.
  • Foster behaviors and principles that promote continuous improvement in labor and material optimization.
  • Enforce safety regulations and take immediate corrective actions regarding potential hazards.
  • Assist in the development of operational systems, including Business and Quality Processes, Lean Tools, and Visual Factory methodologies.
  • Drive quality control standards to ensure products and services align with organizational expectations.
  • Formulate and manage budgets for operational expenditures.
  • Control costs and ensure the efficient utilization of resources.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust operations accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments and senior management.
  • Implement process enhancements and modifications in manufacturing methods.
  • Propose innovative ideas to support plant goals and procedures for continuous improvement, customer retention, profitability, and employee satisfaction.
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
  • Oversee talent management and employee lifecycle activities, from recruitment to termination.
  • Ensure timely delivery and productivity targets are met.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives utilizing various Lean methodologies and principles.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Management) or a minimum of 5 years of direct experience. Relevant formal training programs will be considered.

Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in operations within a manufacturing setting.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Operational Excellence is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
