Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support the communication and language development of students within our school district.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals.
  3. Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  4. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to ensure students' academic and social success.
  5. Monitor students' progress and adapt intervention strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
  6. Maintain detailed documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records.
  7. Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  1. Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or eligibility for licensure.
  3. Certification by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools or eligibility for certification.
  4. While experience in school settings is preferred, it is not required.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
