Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing intermediate care and treatment to clients, managing medications, and administering injections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate clients, obtaining and reviewing pertinent medical data
  • Collect vital signs and specimens, monitoring clients' response to treatment
  • Manage, sort, and prepare medications for distribution to patients
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and medications with training and supervision
  • Draw venous blood, finger stick, urine, and other routine laboratory work
  • Consult with physicians, case managers, team members, and pharmacies on new orders, changes, preauthorizations, and lab results
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts, logs, and records
Requirements
  • Current LPN license from the Virginia Board of Nursing
  • Graduation from a State-accredited program of practical nurse education
  • Moderate experience as a practical nurse in a behavioral health setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • CPR certification
