Seeking a skilled and compassionate Early Childhood Screener to join our team in the Anoka-Hennepin School District. This is a part-time, casual position that requires up to 8 hours per shift as needed.

About the Role

In this role, you will administer health and development screenings for children aged 3-4 through the Early Childhood Screening Program. You will discuss general child development with parents, providing resources to address health and parenting concerns. Additionally, you will assist in identifying children who may require special education programming and refer families to relevant community resources. Maintaining accurate records of screening activities is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess good communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work cooperatively with department and district staff. A Licensed Special Education Teacher or Speech Language Pathologist is preferred but not required. Physical requirements include the ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and maintain regular attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

A Public Health Certificate (PHN) and/or licensure as a Special Education Teacher or Speech Language Pathologist are preferred qualifications for this role.

Compensation

The estimated hourly rate for this position is $31.61/hour, with opportunities for higher pay based on experience and qualifications.
