Job Title: Physician Assistant - Anchorage, AK

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Medical Group Alaska. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Physician Assistant will conduct general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations, including reviewing medical history and associated records, interpreting clinical data, and completing written reports and generating independent medical opinions (IMO). The examinations may be completed in-person, in the examinee's home, telephonically, at large event settings, or using telehealth platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical exams for a variety of customers, including federal, defense, and others
  • Perform occupational health exams, including pre- and post-employment and annual physicals
  • Write medical opinions based on provided medical records/information and acceptable clinical evidence (ACE)
  • Provide telephonic and virtual exams
  • Conduct exams in unique settings, including homebound and event sites
  • Complete Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Provide primary medical evaluations, including review of systems, pap smear, and range of motion
  • Complete initial review and interpretation of diagnostic studies, including laboratory, pulmonary function, and ECG studies
  • Document examinee records in appropriate systems
  • Collaborate with other professional and clinical staff as needed
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited university or college
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate primary care/internal medicine experience
  • Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice in the state of hire
  • Valid BLS or ACLS certification
  • Ability to obtain DEA license
  • Ability to earn and maintain clinical training/certifications as required by current and future contracts
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, etc.) as required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting occupational/disability medical examinations

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $120,000 - $170,000 with a potential annual bonus up to 30%. We also offer comprehensive benefits, including health and wellness programs, income protection, paid leave, and retirement plans.
