PeaceHealth is actively seeking a Registered Nurse - ICU for a full-time role with a 0.90 FTE schedule during night shifts. The compensation range for this position is between $40.09 and $76.12.
The initial salary is influenced by various factors such as education, training, work experience, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
We may offer hiring and relocation bonuses.
Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will:
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care requirements.
2. Document patient care accurately in the healthcare record following established protocols.
3. Direct and delegate care responsibilities to team members based on their qualifications and demonstrated skills.
4. Maintain your professional growth through continuous education and development.
5. Participate in the formulation and upkeep of hospital policies, procedures, and objectives, as well as quality improvement and safety initiatives.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: A minimum of one year of recent ICU experience within the last 36 months.
- Demonstrated proficiency in your area of expertise.
Credentials:
- Required: Current Registered Nurse license.
- Required upon hire: Basic Life Support certification.
- Required: ACLS certification in accordance with Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy.
Skills:
- Proven ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development to meet patient needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster a patient and family-centered environment.
- Ability to uphold and interpret medical center policies and procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift patients up to 35 lbs. without assistive devices.
- Fine motor skills for operating medical equipment and performing precise tasks.
- Frequent lifting and moving of medical carts requiring up to 45 lbs. of force.
- Ability to perform CPR for extended periods.
- Exposure to biohazards and environmental noise.
Mental/Visual Requirements:
- Normal vision and hearing capabilities are necessary.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
