Position Overview:

This role involves providing essential technical assistance in a broadcasting environment. The responsibilities may encompass various tasks such as computer programming, operational support, research assistance, technical maintenance, and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities:

The Broadcast Technician will be responsible for:

  1. Monitoring live broadcast signals to ensure quality and compliance.
  2. Preparing and managing content for transmission.
  3. Operating the Broadcast Automation System to schedule and air programs according to established logs.
  4. Recording and ingesting media from diverse sources including satellite and fiber feeds.
  5. Logging transmitter output and generating reports on discrepancies.
  6. Editing promotional materials and managing streaming operations.
  7. Collaborating with the Traffic Production and Engineering teams as required.
Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, with 1-3 years of experience in broadcast operations. A 2-4 year degree or vocational training in Broadcasting, Production, or a related technical field is preferred.
