We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a Senior Associate Level II, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with a focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Develop and modify treatment plans and goals as needed, in collaboration with medical staff and other healthcare professionals
- Consult with medical staff regarding recommended therapy and participate in team conferences to discuss patient progress and discharge planning
- Supervise student physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, and evaluate their performance according to guidelines set by the New York State Physical Therapy Association
- Participate in in-service programs for professional personnel, students, and other employees, and attend continuing education seminars to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field
- Valid Physical Therapy License and current registration issued by the New York State Department of Education
- One of the following: a Baccalaureate Degree with a major in Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and two years of full-time experience administering physical therapy under professional supervision; or a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy accredited by the APTA with a Baccalaureate Degree in an unrelated discipline, and two years of full-time experience administering physical therapy under professional supervision; or a Baccalaureate Degree and a Master's Degree, both with a major in Physical Therapy accredited by the APTA, and one year of full-time experience administering physical therapy under professional supervision; or a satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to the above
