We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Tammany Health System. As a Staff Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Licensed Practical Nurses, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurse Technicians, and Unit Clerks.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop plans to address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate records.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Current RN license in the state of Louisiana.
- Successful completion of a Board Certified Nursing Program.
- Current BLS certification through an ILCOR-approved course.
- Ability to work a 36-hour schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Preferred qualifications include ALS certification, Med/Surg experience, and Critical Care experience.
This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, lift at least 50 pounds, and work in a moderate noise level environment.
