Medical Assistant

Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, a division of Summit Medical Group, has an immediate opening for a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This is a full-time opportunity.
- Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
- Records vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
- Performs clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, etc.
- Assists physicians with procedures, administers medications, and conducts patient education.
- Triage phone calls, obtain pre-authorizations, referrals, and call in prescriptions when necessary.
- Perform clerical duties to support physicians, contact patients regarding test results, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Maintains clean and organized exam rooms and common work areas daily.
- Complies with company policies, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Contributes to site-level Quality Improvement Activities and adheres to site-specific protocols and expectations.
- Exhibits professional behavior and maintains confidentiality.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
