As an Associate Regional Safety Advisor at H-E-B, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our Partners, Customers, and third-party stakeholders. You will be responsible for implementing and sustaining policy directives, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, and providing technical assistance to support safety and accident prevention programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and sustain policy directives, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Support safety and accident prevention programs to ensure a safe place to work and shop
  • Provide technical assistance to support safety initiatives
  • Maintain training-related records and monitor the status of ongoing and completed facility training and OSHA recordkeeping
  • Recognize safety opportunities and collaborate on solutions
  • Assist with projects as assigned
  • Develop close working relationships with facility leaders
  • Support and facilitate safety-related training initiatives
  • Assist with training and facilitation of new and existing Partners and leaders on safety activities and responsibilities
  • Analyze incident-related trends and assist with incident investigations to determine root cause(s)
  • Assist with comprehensive facility safety and health audits
  • Track and compile key internal safety performance metrics and project status, presenting to facility leadership

Requirements:

  • Related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • 1+ years of experience related to safety
  • Experience in retail, industrial, or corporate safety (preferred)
  • Experience related to injury prevention, work injury, liability, safety, and accident prevention programs
  • Professional Safety certification or equivalent (preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with all regulatory programs related to safety management
  • Verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • PC skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) H-E-B network, and software/systems required by the job
