Position Overview

The Miami office is seeking a talented income tax associate with 2-5 years of experience to become a part of our esteemed and expanding Private Wealth Practice group. This group specializes in addressing the income tax, estate and gift tax, and business planning requirements of affluent individuals, families, and family offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in comprehensive income tax planning, with a focus on partnership taxation and closely held or family business transactional tax matters.
  • Possess knowledge in foreign inbound tax issues, IRS controversies, and domestic and international trust matters.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work across various tax and non-tax areas within the private wealth practice.
  • Exhibit a commitment to becoming a regular contributor in writing and speaking on diverse private wealth topics relevant to our varied clientele.

Qualifications

  • A strong academic foundation with a focus on tax law is essential.
  • Exceptional research and writing capabilities are required.
  • A collaborative mindset and a dedicated work ethic are crucial.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Florida State Bar, with preference given to those also admitted to the NY State Bar.
  • Prior experience with an Am Law 100 firm is advantageous.
