Job Summary

Mammography Technologists play a vital role in the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. As a Mammography Technologist at Stamford Health, you will be responsible for operating various imaging equipment to provide high-quality images for review by radiologists. Your attention to detail and ability to work with patients will make a significant difference in their care.

Key Responsibilities

Receives requests for specialized procedures and sets up the procedure room with the necessary equipment.
Prepares patients for procedures, explains the process, and answers their questions.
Operates imaging equipment to provide high-quality images for review by radiologists.
Maintains and records appropriate documentation regarding procedures according to established protocols.

Requirements

A valid Radiology license from the State of Connecticut is required. Certifications in specific modalities employed as detailed by the modality job descriptions and be operating within those certifications based on departmental need. CPR certification is also required. Annual certification must be maintained as specified by each of the modalities.
