The Metal Fabrication Specialist will be responsible for constructing and assembling metal frameworks and equipment utilizing welding tools, cutting devices, shaping instruments, and measurement apparatus according to client specifications. Proficient in operating both TIG and MIG welding machinery, this role also involves mentoring and guiding fellow welders while delegating tasks within the welding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare setups, conduct preventative maintenance, and ensure cleanliness and operation of designated areas and equipment.

• Interpret blueprints or schematics and measure dimensions to strategize layout and procedures.

• Identify and implement suitable welding techniques based on detailed specifications.

• Evaluate and inspect welded surfaces to guarantee quality standards are met.

• Manage, manipulate, and ready materials for subsequent production stages.

• Mentor and allocate tasks to other welders according to their skills and experience.

Qualifications and Educational Background
  • High school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and practical experience.
  • Expertise in MIG and TIG welding techniques, particularly with steel and aluminum.
  • Proficiency must be demonstrated through a welding assessment prior to employment.
  • Training in machine safety and quality control is preferred.
