Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Stormwater Program Development Specialist. This position will be instrumental in supporting the city's efforts to maintain and improve its stormwater infrastructure, protecting water quality, and promoting environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement stormwater management plans.
  • Conduct site assessments, monitoring, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze data and identify trends to inform decision-making and optimize stormwater management practices.
  • Develop educational programs and materials to promote public awareness and engagement on stormwater-related issues.
  • Assist in grant writing and securing funding for stormwater-related projects.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in stormwater management, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • A strong understanding of sustainability principles and best practices.

Benefits

The City of Manassas offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
