Porter/Custodial

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing duties throughout the store, including the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area.
• Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floor, bottle redemption area, closets, and workstations.
• Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Assist with special events and projects as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
