SalaryThe estimated weekly salary for this position is $***1,800*** (gross) based on 12-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount yet to be determined.
Job DescriptionThis Surgical First Assistant role involves direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures, providing visualization of the operative site and achieving temporary and permanent hemostasis.
- Assist with patient positioning and stabilization.
- Provide visualization using manipulation of tissue, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.
- Utilize techniques for temporary and permanent hemostasis.
- Participate in emergency resuscitation and stabilization if needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist and surgical first assistant credentialed by the National Board on Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Current BLS Certification.
