Job Description

This full-time Clinical Behavior Analyst role is responsible for providing expert behavior analysis and intervention services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers evidence-based treatments, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and other therapies.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent assessment, treatment planning, and implementation skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

The position requires travel to client homes, community settings, or other locations as needed, with opportunities for remote work depending on the specific requirements of the position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ABA programs tailored to individual client needs, incorporating data-driven decision-making and continuous progress monitoring.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to inform treatment plans, utilizing observation, interview techniques, and standardized measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress, program implementation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other service providers to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Supervise and mentor registered behavior technicians (RBTs) and other support staff to enhance their skills and confidence in delivering high-quality interventions.
  • Prioritize self-care and stress management strategies to maintain personal well-being and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, with licensure as an LBA in the state of Virginia required within 6-12 months of employment.
  • At least one year of experience in applied behavior analysis and autism intervention, preferably with direct client contact and supervision.
  • A willingness to travel to local areas for regular supervision and family meetings, with occasional out-of-state travel possible for training or professional development.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records, documentation standards, and billing procedures.
