The Arc Prince George's County is a leading provider of support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Prince George's County.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management and monitoring of clinical and administrative operations in our Community Living and Personal Supports programs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead four directors.
- Communicate with co-workers, representatives of other agencies, and people served to ensure effective collaboration and support.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Supervise and evaluate personnel assigned to the Community Living Services.
- Review and approve time sheets, travel vouchers, and other reimbursement forms.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and stakeholders.
- Participate in vacancy reporting meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, human services, psychology, social sciences).
- Five to seven years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of COMAR, DHR, and national state and local issues relating to MR/DD.
- Experience with DDA, Medicaid funding, and housing-related funds is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of resources in Prince George's County, Maryland.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including time management and leadership.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage positive communication in difficult situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and financial/accounting systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
