Purem Novi Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate operations in our manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for leading and managing departments including Tooling, Engineering, Welding, and Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Strategic Direction: Develop and implement strategic plans to align departmental goals with overall company objectives.
- Lead and Manage Teams: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability among direct reports. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship as needed.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency and productivity across all departments.
- Ensure Quality and Safety: Champion quality standards and adherence to safety protocols within the manufacturing environment. Implement measures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Manage Departmental Budgets: Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support production goals and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products to customers.
- Oversee Key Projects: Ensure projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to manufacturing operations.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Conduct Business Activities: Conduct all business-related activities for, and on behalf of, Purem Novi Inc within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Support HSE Policies: Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Purem Novi Inc Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and other HSE-related requirements.
- Quality and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and follow all Purem Novi Inc policies related to TS16949 and ISO 14001. Look for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Professional Background:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive or related industries.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles: Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Technical Expertise: Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
