Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform standard component inspections and repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
Benefits:

  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained
  • Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
