Civil Engineering Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Civil Engineering to join our faculty at the University of Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, as well as conducting research and mentoring students.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering
- Conduct research in civil engineering and publish scholarly articles
- Mentor students and provide guidance on research projects
- Develop and maintain a strong research program
- Participate in departmental and university service
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a related field, a strong research record, and a commitment to teaching and mentoring students. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching and research in civil engineering, as well as a strong publication record.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications include 10+ years of experience as a tenure-track/tenured faculty member at a leading peer R1 institution, a strong record of high-quality research and scholarly publications, and significant experience in engineering education and professional service.
