Key Responsibilities
  • Distribute meals and beverages in the Day Center, adhering to departmental guidelines.
  • Record temperatures of all meals and kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and sanitized environment.
  • Update information on diet cards and lists as directed by the Registered Dietician.
  • Prepare and serve morning and afternoon snacks, adhering to snack menus, portion control, and diet orders.
  • Serve meals at a proper temperature, considering diet, supplements, adaptive equipment needs, and portion control.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, performing daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
  • Clean, organize, and sanitize food service equipment and areas to meet regulations.
  • Assist the Registered Dietician with ordering, tracking, and delivering meals, snacks, supplies, and supplements.
  • Communicate with the Clinical Leader, Speech Therapist, and Registered Dietician regarding nutritional issues or concerns.
  • Understand and adhere to Hudson Headwaters Health Network policies and procedures, and protect Participant confidentiality.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population, or willingness to receive training
  • BLS certification or willingness to complete necessary certification
  • Personal and reliable transportation
Physical Demands
  • Ability to safely perform essential job functions
  • Exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • 20% sitting, 30% walking, and 50% standing

The pay range for this position is $34,900-$40,000 annually, based on skills and experience.
