About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Reworld, a leader in sustainable waste solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing various mechanical, maintenance, and repair work at our Transfer Station.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain rotating machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and reduce waste.
  • Actively participate in the periodic teardown and internal inspection of major equipment to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use various shop equipment to perform tasks and read and interpret measuring tools, blueprints, P&IDs, graphs, and technical manuals.
  • Follow all health and safety rules and regulations mandated by law and per the policies and procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
Requirements
  • At least three (3) years' experience with heavy equipment and truck maintenance and repair, crane experience strongly preferred.
  • High School/GED Diploma required unless candidate has 5 years' verifiable experience in maintenance.
  • Formal technical or apprenticeship training is desired.
  • May be required to work extensive overtime hours during planned and un-planned maintenance.
  • Welding experience.
