Neighborhood Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Neighborhood Assistant to join our team. As a Neighborhood Assistant, you will provide personalized comfort and support to residents living in our assisted living facility. You will work closely with our nursing team to ensure the highest level of care and support for our residents.

• Communicate with residents about meal selection and assist with menu completion and meal delivery as needed.
• Support nursing staff with the resident dining experience, including transporting residents to and from meals, setting up meals and snacks, and assisting residents with eating.
• Support residents with grooming needs, including brushing and styling hair, oral care, and make-up.
• Answer call bell alerts for residents and provide comfort and support as needed.
• Assist with ensuring resident care items are stocked in rooms.
• Cross-train in different neighborhoods to meet a diverse set of resident needs.
• Tidy up resident living spaces, including closets, resident rooms, common areas, dining rooms, and hallways.
• Observe residents' needs and requests and report them to nursing staff.
• Maintain safety standards to ensure a safe environment for residents.
• Assist with transporting residents using safe techniques to and from meals, programs, and outings.
• Provide one-on-one comfort and companionship to residents, utilizing their preferences and choices.
• Engage residents to improve their physical, mental, and social well-being, including encouraging leisure activities and providing materials needed.
