About the Role:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for receiving, processing, and shipping products in a timely and efficient manner. This includes verifying accuracy of incoming shipments, processing receipts, and arranging internal distribution of products. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against manifests, invoices, or orders
  • Process receipts of products and relevant data into the purchasing system
  • Arrange internal distribution of products, including delivery to various departments
  • Prepare shipments for outside vendors, arrange for pick-up at the receiving dock, and submit daily documentation to Accounts Payable
  • Compile and submit reports as needed
  • Verify contents of shipments against records and determine shipping methods using knowledge of procedures, routes, and rates
  • Record shipment data for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes
  • Confer with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages, shortages/overages, or nonconformance to specifications
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory levels

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three months of related experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to work independently
  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts, and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Must be able to physically perform job duties, including pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 25 lbs., and working in varied work areas such as confined spaces
