Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist (RRT) Opportunity

Our client, a prominent healthcare organization, is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist to provide essential respiratory services to patients experiencing respiratory challenges. In this role, you will be integral in assessing patient needs, formulating and executing tailored respiratory care strategies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shifts, Monday to Friday from 5 PM to 5 AM, including every third weekend.

Compensation: Competitive pay range of $32 - $36 per hour, with additional shift differentials: $3.25 for weekends, $3.00 for evenings, and $4.00 for night shifts.

Incentives: A sign-on bonus of $15,000, distributed in two installments: half after 60 days of employment and the remainder after one year. Relocation assistance may be available up to $4,000, subject to approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to identify respiratory care requirements.
  • Adjust care plans based on patient assessments and responses.
  • Design and implement personalized respiratory treatment plans.
  • Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, medications, and interventions.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patient reactions to treatments.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding respiratory care practices and self-management techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
  • Serve as a mentor for new staff and students.
  • Be available for on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Possession of entry-level certification.
  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
  • Current Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • ACLS and NRP certifications required within six months of hire.
  • PALS and Stable certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
