About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Nurse Specialist to join our team at Parkland Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care while collaborating with medical providers and the care team.

Job Summary:

The Dialysis Nurse Specialist will be responsible for setting up and operating dialysis equipment in various settings, performing various types of dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, and managing water treatment and testing as directed. Additionally, this role involves providing therapeutic and administrative services necessary for patient care, ensuring safe medication administration, and assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting all aspects of patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Registered Nurse with New Hampshire license or Compact License when applicable, BLS: American Heart Association or American Red Cross, ACLS: American Heart Association or American Red Cross, CPI – within 60 days of hire, and minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience. A BSN or higher degree in Nursing is preferred.

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrate skill in setup and operation of dialysis equipment in differing settings
  • Perform various types of dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis
  • Manage water treatment and testing as directed
  • Complete and document required testing as scheduled
  • Provide therapeutic and administrative services necessary for patient care
  • Provide safe medication administration for the adult patient population
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting all aspects of patient care
  • Collaborate with all healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team
