POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Specialist reports directly to the Human Resources Manager or Training Manager on-site. This role is pivotal in coordinating and delivering essential training programs required by DSV and its clients. Training topics may encompass quality assurance, operational metrics, logistics protocols, safety standards, and procedural guidelines.
The specialist will contribute to the creation of solutions that align with client expectations and will design and implement competency training tailored to specific roles, focusing on systems and leadership development while providing continuous support to employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct orientation for new employees and refresher training for existing staff on site policies.
- Engage in personal development to maintain expertise in relevant areas.
- Track, assess, and report on training and development initiatives and outcomes.
- Facilitate training sessions covering operations, quality standards, and procedural updates.
- Implement on-the-job training programs to enhance site performance.
- Oversee and conduct training and development initiatives for staff.
- Design and deliver on-the-job training courses to meet identified training needs.
- Ensure all training records are accurately maintained in the database.
- Verify that training programs comply with all regulatory, DSV, and client standards.
- Prepare site programs for audits to meet ISO and DSV quality requirements.
- Coordinate the upkeep of all necessary training equipment and materials.
- Develop and execute strategies for staff training and development, establishing effective measurement systems.
- Ensure certification and validation processes for equipment operators are completed prior to operation.
- Issue certification cards and safety credentials to all associates upon hiring and renewal.
- Address inquiries from associates regarding training and development.
- Collaborate closely with management and operations teams to meet business needs.
- Evaluate associate skill levels to identify gaps and provide retraining as necessary.
- Maintain accurate training records reflecting staffing changes.
- Prepare and manage supplies of training materials and safety documentation.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding training progress and needs.
- Adapt to special requirements and flexible scheduling for training purposes.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Work overtime as required by business needs.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions within the warehouse.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in warehousing and/or logistics.
- 1 year of clerical experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Bilingual skills are advantageous.
- Intermediate mathematical proficiency.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs.
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehousing best practices.
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
