We are currently seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team at one of our outpatient dialysis centers. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caring for others and want to make a difference in their lives.

About the Role

\

As a PCT, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide direct patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment to patients\
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient information\
  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment\
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks on hemodialysis machines\
  • BUILDING LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS WITH PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES\
  • EDUCATING PATIENTS ON KIDNEY DISEASE AND DIABETES MANAGEMENT\
  • WORKING AS A TEAM MEMBER TO PROVIDE HOLISTIC CARE FOR OUR PATIENTS\
  • MAINTAINING A SAFE AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR PATIENTS\
  • ASSISTING NURSES WITH CLINICAL TASKS AND PROCEDURES\
  • PROVIDING EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES\
  • HELPING PATIENTS SET GOALS AND WORK TOWARDS IMPROVING THEIR HEALTH OUTCOMES\
  • ASSISTING WITH PATIENT EDUCATION AND COUNSELING\
  • MAINTAINING CONFIDENTIALITY AND ADHERING TO DAVIDIA'S CODE OF CONDUCT\
  • REMAINING UP-TO-DATE ON LATEST CLINICAL GUIDELINES AND BEST PRACTICES\
  • COLLABORATING WITH OTHER MEMBERS OF THE MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM TO DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY CARE\
  • DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH COLLEAGUES AND SUPERVISORS\
  • RESPONDING TO CRISIS SITUATIONS IN A CALM AND COMPOSSED MANNER\
  • MANAGING YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY TO MEET DEADLINES AND PRIORITIZE TASKS\
  • COMMUNICATING CLEARLY AND EFFECTIVELY WITH COLLEAGUES, PATIENTS, AND FAMILIES\
  • PERFORMING ROUTINE ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS SUCH AS RECORD-KEEPING AND DATA ENTRY\

  • NO DIALYSIS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.\
  • PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ABILITY TO WORK LONG HOURS (SOME SHIFTS ARE 12+ HOURS) ON YOUR FEET SO WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES.\

  • HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE A PLUS, INCLUDING BONENT CERTIFIED, CERTIFIED HEMODIALYSIS TECHNICIAN (CHT), CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA), CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CMA), OR PHEBOTOMY CERTIFICATION.\
