POSITION SUMMARY:
The Wound/Ostomy/Continence Nurse is responsible for providing specialized care to patients requiring wound management. This includes thorough assessment, strategic planning, effective intervention, and ongoing evaluation of treatment outcomes for wound care patients. The nurse will coordinate and implement various treatment modalities tailored to individual patient needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is mandatory.
- A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is essential.
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of employment or a multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Completion of Enterostomal Therapy training within two (2) years of employment is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- WOCN Certification is highly desirable.
- A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
