Job Summary

The University of Alabama seeks a skilled Roofer II to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of roofs on various structures. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of commercial roofing experience. The ideal candidate will have a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to lift, handle, and maneuver tools, materials, and supplies up to 100 pounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and repair leaks on roofs
  • Install or repair roofs on new or old structures
  • Train and provide work leadership to entry-level roofers
  • Drive from site to site
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years of commercial roofing experience
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Ability to lift, handle, and maneuver tools, materials, and supplies up to 100 pounds
Additional Requirements
  • A high school education or GED and a minimum of four years journeyman level experience with a variety of commercial roofing applications
  • Ability to interpret plans and make estimates or required materials
  • Ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies
