Position Summary:

As a Commercial Electrical Top Helper, you will work under the guidance of experienced Commercial Electricians. This role is designed to help you acquire essential skills in electrical installations, including rough-ins, wiring, and fixture setups, while gaining hands-on experience in the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of electrical wiring under the supervision of licensed electricians.
  • Support the rough-in process for electrical back boxes and raceways.
  • Help with the installation of wiring in raceways, MC cables, light fixtures, and hanger wires.
  • Utilize power tools and powder-actuated tools safely and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and supervisors to build strong working relationships.
  • Collaborate with electricians to proactively address and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Basic mathematical skills (up to a 5th-grade level).
  • Ability to read measurements accurately using tape measures and rulers.
  • Experience in construction or mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • DNB Electric is committed to training enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who uphold high standards.
  • At least one year of electrical experience is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy materials and climb ladders.
  • Willingness to work in various environments, including confined spaces.
